The Cheesery
Brie Restaurant & Cheesery was created by a family with more than 20 years of experience in hospitality and restaurant business. Bringing together inspirations from Crimea, Barcelona and Ibiza, the founders set out to create a place where Mediterranean traditions, handcrafted food and genuine hospitality come together in the heart of Ubud.
We are the only restaurant in Bali with our own in-house cheesery. Our farm-fresh milk is sourced directly from our partner farm, arriving daily and transformed into artisanal cheese within hours — pure, fresh, and alive. No preservatives. No compromises. Our open kitchen and cheesery reflect our philosophy: transparency, quality and trust.

"We hit the jackpot with Brie — the staff were attentive and friendly, when you arrive you'll be shown the cheesery and view the open plan kitchen. Service was timely but didn't feel rushed. Food was to die for. 100% have the burrata, fresh and flavourful — perfect. The slow cooked lamb melted in your mouth, and the carbonara with in-house made tagliatelle was made perfectly (no cream). The cheesecake served as a slice of cheese was creamy and delicious! We had cocktails that were just magic — recommend the Apple Gin Fizz, yummy and theatrical! Don't miss a chance for delicious dining when you're in Ubud!!!"

"My husband and I were scrolling the map to find a place for dinner during our honeymoon, this came up as highly rated and WOW, we were beyond impressed. The food was the best quality we've had in Bali, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and they had a musician during our dinner that was talented enough to be on The Voice show. Our server Era was fantastic — highly suggest the burrata truffle zucchini starter and cheese soup. The homemade ice cream doesn't disappoint either! We booked a reservation to come back later in the week — that's how impressed we were."
